Clear Activations for Snagit/Camtasia

If Activated by Software Key

You can clear or reset activations for Snagit and Camtasia licenses using your TechSmith Account at manage.techsmith.com
This method will only work for single-user software keys for Snagit 2021–⁠2024 and Camtasia 2020–2024.

  1. Visit manage.techsmith.com and sign in to your TechSmith account.
  2. Go to the Keys tab.
  3. Find the Snagit or Camtasia software key that you want to deactivate.
    If your software key is not listed, select Save a key or Save another key, enter your key, and save it.
  4. Select Clear activations.

This clears activations of Snagit or Camtasia on all devices where the software was unlocked using this key. You can now reinstall Snagit or Camtasia and unlock it using the same key.

Follow these steps to clear activations for your Individual Snagit or Camtasia subscription.

  1. Visit manage.techsmith.com and sign in to your TechSmith account.
  2. On the Dashboard, next to your Snagit subscription or your Camtasia (Essentials, Create or Pro) subscription, select Clear activations.
